The Western Maryland Regional Medical Center offers a comprehensive range of general and specialty services. A new $268 million state-of-the-art hospital with 275 inpatient beds opened in November 2009.

WMRHC has an annual volume of over 55,000 and is the designated area-wide Level III Trauma Center.

A new hospital and emergency department—one of the biggest medical campuses on the East Coast—is currently under construction and scheduled to open in December 2010.
